Description
Cardamom is highly valuable spices from ancient times, because of its very pleasant aroma and taste. It is known as the ‘Queen of Spices’. Green cardamom is grown mainly in the Western Ghats of Kerala, Karnataka and Tamilnadu.
The Cardamom seeds are cleaned to remove dust and dirt using winnowing basket. After winnowing the crop needs to be washed in water, the capsules are washed thoroughly in water to remove any soil that has adhered to them. The Capsules are then sun dried for several days.
